Always a classic favorite and honestly, I just buy the chunky kind from a jar! You'd think I'd make my own since it's so simple--but I think it's even more simple to open a jar!

Sunny Anderson has great personality and style--I always watch her show! When I saw her make these wings a while back I knew they would be a MUST HAVE for the Superbowl!

And to round out the finish... well I did a little searching... I knew I wanted something sweet and something fun for a dessert--cookies and cakes have had way too much play time in our home the past few weeks. Of course Guy Fieri always has something with a little kick!

simple wonderful thursday....

I came across some adorable pictures of kittens and it made me realize--once again the simple things in life win. These pictures should explain what I mean...

simply comforting wednesday

I believe in the simple things in life... and since Phil has decided to give us 6 more weeks of winter I can think of nothing better than a cozy cup of hot cocoa!



Of course, the Pioneer Woman Dulce de Leche Coffee will always be amazing but sometimes simple is best and I promise you won't regret this recipe:

You will need about a 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 3/4 cup of sugar, just a pinch of salt. For your wet ingredients you'll need about 1/3 cup boiling water and about a 1/2 cup milk and a 1/2 cup half and half.

Combine the dry ingredients in a saucepan then blend in the boiling water and allow the boiling mixture to simmer for about two minutes (keep stirring and make sure it doesn't scorch and burn!). When hot but no longer boiling stir in the milk and remove from the heat. You can then add the vanilla and pour and enjoy!

I also like to whip up some whipped cream: just whip up 1 cup cream and 1/4 cup sugar with a little vanilla and voila! Or you can always go with the good old standby from a can--which is way more fun sprayed directly into the mouth than on the hot cocoa!
